The Supervisory Success Series (SSS) is designed to provide supervisors with the information and encouragement needed to effectively supervise. This ten course series will provide participants with a broad look at what it takes to maximize their supervisory potential while minimizing the risks. The Supervisor and Organizational CultureHave you ever thought about why organizational culture is so important and what the supervisor's role is in establishing and maintaining it? If so, this course will reinforce the importance of the supervisor to organizational culture. If not, this course will be an eye-opener. You'll take a look at how organizational culture is defined, who sets the culture and what "kills" a positive culture. You'll learn what you can do to establish and maintain a positive culture for your piece of the organization. Ethics, Morals and CommunicationThis course addresses the three components that are at the heart of an organization's culture...ethics, morale and communication and how a supervisor can influence them. You'll consider the implications of a supervisor's role in acting ethically, setting the tone which will impact morale and communicating in a clear, concise, timely and trusted manner. The Supervisor and Risk Management CultureThis series-ending course takes a look at a critical, yet sometimes overlooked, function a supervisor plays...the supervisor as a risk manager. Defining risk, establishing a positive risk management culture, opportunities and strategies to take the risk management lead and three key concepts to a supervisor's risk management success are addressed. You'll recognize you're role as a risk manager and will be prepared to take the action(s) needed to make a positive difference in your piece of the organization. |
